چکیده

To meet the demand of grain and fodder, dual purpose crops can be a good alternative that also reduce burden on land. A field study was carried out during two consecutive rabi seasons 2017–18 2018–19 research farm Agronomy, CCS HAU, Hisar, Haryana, to evaluate performance wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The experiment laid in split plot design with three replications. It comprised varieties (C 306 WH 1105) along cut management main plots, seed rates (100 kg/ha 125 kg/ha) levels fertilizer, viz. RDF, 115% RDF 130% sub-plots. findings revealed significantly higher crop growth rate (CGR) up 60 DAS observed C over 1105, whereas, after DAS, CGR 1105 306. Maximum tillers/m2, dry matter accumulation, effective tillers, biological yield, crude protein were obtained without cut, closely followed by cut. Among, fertilizer combinations, CGR, content other parameters +130% 100 + RDF. concluded may choice for which provide fodder lean period affecting its yield if supplied slightly dose fertilizers

Physiological assessment of drought tolerance in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) varieties under moisture stress conditions

Drought is one of the major limiting factors in wheat production in Pakistan. Five commercial wheat varieties; Chakwal-97, Inqilab-91, Margalla-99, NR-234 and Wafaq2001 were grown in pots in glasshouse. Plants were subjected to three consecutive drought cycles at tillering, pre-anthesis and milky growth stages by withholding water till leaf rolling started. Measurements of physiological respons...

Seed Maturation Regulators Are Related to the Control of Seed Dormancy in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

In Arabidopsis, the regulation network of the seed maturation program controls the induction of seed dormancy. Wheat EST sequences showing homology with the master regulators of seed maturation, leafy cotyledon1 (LEC1), LEC2 and FUSCA3 (FUS3), were searched from databases and designated respectively as TaL1L (LEC1-LIKE), TaL2L (LEC2-LIKE), and TaFUS3. TaL1LA, TaL2LA and TaFUS3 mainly expressed ...

Genetic Diversity and Population Structure Analysis of European Hexaploid Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Varieties

Progress in plant breeding is facilitated by accurate information about genetic structure and diversity. Here, Diversity Array Technology (DArT) was used to characterize a population of 94 bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) varieties of mainly European origin. In total, 1,849 of 7,000 tested markers were polymorphic and could be used for population structure analysis. Two major subgroups of whe...

The wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) leaf proteome.

The wheat leaf proteome was mapped and partially characterized to function as a comparative template for future wheat research. In total, 404 proteins were visualized, and 277 of these were selected for analysis based on reproducibility and relative quantity. Using a combination of protein and expressed sequence tag database searching, 142 proteins were putatively identified with an identificat...

EVALUATION OF YIELD AND SEED REQUIREMENTS STABILITY OF BREAD WHEAT(Triticum aestivum L.) VIA AMMI MODEL

High quality seed of wheat is the key to successful agriculture. Improvement and evaluation of agronomic traits have been the primary objective of breeders for many years under variable environments. The objective of the present research was to determine influence of genotype, environment and their interaction on yield and randman of seed as a seed quality represent and to evaluate stability th...
